The
Dale House Restaurant is situated in an old 18th century townhouse
in the heart of Willenhall. In fact the building, which dates back
to 1750, not only sports all the original doors and locally made
locks, which have made Willenhall famous but also boasts its very
own ghost which occasionally shimmies across the upstairs landing.
The house was home to generations of the Hincks family who were
yeomen farmers that developed a business in malting. In fact the
old malthouse behind Dale House was converted into the towns first
cinema. In recent years this became a bingo hall which has since
been converted into a pub by the Wetherspoons chain.
